Coco is a 7 year old resilient and endearing pit bull from Oakland. She is very social, outgoing extremely loving dog, with a personality as charming as her quirky appearance.
In fact, Coco’s mismatched ears in addition to her puppy eyes give her an unforgettable charm! But sadly, this sweet girl has terminal thyroid cancer. When she was at the shelter, she was quickly running out of time, until she was saved by Underdog Animal Rescue.
All her life, Coco has known nothing but neglect and foster care is her last chance at experiencing kindness and love.
Despite her cancer and some chronic, but treatable, ear issues, Coco is remarkable happy and healthy. Encouragingly, her bloodwork also came back outstanding – apart from the cancer diagnosis. Underdog took Coco on, knowing she was terminal, but her amazing foster family is surrounding Coco with all the love a dog can wish for!

Coco is surrounded by love in her new home. She has both doggy and children friends and has recently even met a few horses and got along with them really well!
She loves to hop up on the couch and snuggle close to get some love. She also loves her treats, walks great on a leash and will even roll on the ground for belly rubs.
Coco is truly thriving in the companionship of her new friends and family. She is sweet-natured and full of love and curiosity, which only makes you wonder about the deprived life she lead up till now.
She is a hospice dog who really deserves a chance. And the last chapter of her life will be all about comfort care. We don’t know how long she has, but we know she will be spoiled for every minute of it!
