Hamster is seen with his broken leg

Hamster arrived with a broken leg after an enthusiastic jump off a couch..."

Hamster, a vivacious 7-month-old pup, suffered a broken leg from an enthusiastic leap off a couch and was brought to The Linda Blair World Heart Foundation by her owners. Knowing that an overcrowded shelter might not provide the care Hamster needed, they sought help from LBWHF, which promptly provided emergency medical treatment for the furry friend.

The expenses for Hamster’s treatment were considerable and kept mounting due to the post-treatment care she required, including multiple X-rays, vet appointments and rehabilitation that would take between three and six months. Despite the high cost of his care, The Linda Blair World Heart Foundation remained dedicated to Hamster’s recovery.

Hamster had to refrain from putting any weight on her broken leg and take it easy until it was fully healed. This was a challenging task for a playful and affectionate puppy like her, but it was necessary to ensure proper healing and growth of her leg.

"She is an incredibly lovable pup, and she continues to improve with each passing day."

Nevertheless, despite her injury, Hamster remains a friendly and charming dog who is making steady progress with each passing day, thanks to the dedicated care she receives from the team.

With the help of TagsforHope’s grant and thanks to our generous supporters like you, Hamster was able to continue to receive the necessary treatment to give her a second chance at a happy and healthy life. Soon Hamster will be healed and ready to find her forever family who will give her all the love and care she deserves.
