"Despite her wounds, Journey is quite the feisty character!"

When Journey arrived in Winnipeg, all of her paws were bandaged because they all had open wounds due to suspected burns. Her tummy also had burn marks on it.

After the vet opened up her bandages, it was determined that Journey will need intensive care. For about 8 days, she received hydrotherapy and her paws were re-bandaged often. She received antibiotics and pain medication as well. She could not move around during this time and spent most of it sleeping.

After her intensive care, Journey was able to go back to her foster home and enjoy being a puppy to the fullest!

"Once the bandages came off..."

Despite everything she’s been through, this little pup had quite the feisty character! Even with her bandaged paws she found ways to hop around and wrestle with the other pups.

Once the bandages came off, Journey became more active, more playful and – as her foster mom puts it – a little bit of a terror as well!

She is a very young puppy, which means her foster parents’ ankles are not safe from her little teeth. She also loves to jump-scare her older foster siblings. But she is a fast learner, too! Despite being so little, Journey quickly learned to go up and down the stairs. She is also paper-trained in the house, which means she can roam freely without making a mess!

In her spare time, Journey loves to play and cuddle with her siblings. She is always in good spirits, and even though she is still on the road to recovery, she eats well and absolutely loves to play! With the help of generous supporters like you and TagsforHope’s grant, Journey will fully heal in a supportive environment, before embarking on a search for her forever home!
