"Meet Tess & Tate!"
Meet Tess and Tate – they are 11 week old, Great Pyrenees mix puppies who were rescued by Great Pyrs & Paws Rescue.
They are, most likely, brother and sister – but in either case, the affection between them is evident! The duo was saved from a horrible hoarding situation and, in collaboration with other organizations, Great Pyrs and Paws was able to safely remove eight puppies altogether.
They received the much-needed medical attention and were placed with a volunteer foster. The pups were suffering from canine parvovirus and parasites, and were overall timid and weak. But even they were not feeling well, they were happy, hopeful puppies. Now? They are happy and unstoppable!
After receiving an intensive treatment course and being spoiled by their foster mom, the pups gained confidence – and some much needed manners – and were ready to be posted for adoption.
Wow, what a change! These survivors sure came a long way from needing IV fluids, medicine and quarantine to becoming attentive and well-socialized young dogs.

Tess and Tate have wonderful personalities! They are sweet and playful, working up healthy appetites as their treatment helps them to gain strength.
Their favourite activity was playing fetch with their foster mom, offering lots of play-bows, and hopping around on the grass. They liked to run fast, too! Their foster mom had an absolute blast with them – the puppies were talkative, compassionate, and just pure bundles of joy!
With her help, they have transformed from shy and uncertain into curious pups who love to learn new things and would add a lot of happiness to any home!
Unfortunately Texas has a high euthanasia rate for large breeds, so the goal has always been to find a home for Tess and Tate in the Pacific Northwest.
